UNISA subjects of interest

The team has worked, for several years, on geographical success at school disparities, while focusing to the specificity of rural and mountain territories [first work published in 1999: "L’école rurale au carrefour des territoires et des réseaux"].

The current research topic relates to rural and mountain areas and success at school: it relates to the scholarship forms, means for the rupture of geographical and cultural insulation, links between schools and territory, teaching approaches, didactic tools, etc. It more specifically relates to the relation between pupils' professional projects, courses' course and the social, economic and cultural local environment. It questions the impact of insulation rupture strategies by implementing school establishments, families and authorities.
