The Sahara and its margins: issues and prospects of territories in transformation
The ThéMA laboratory organizes an international symposium : "Le Sahara et ses marges: enjeux et perspectives de territoires en mutation" (" The Sahara and its margins : issues and prospects of territories in transformation") in Besançon, from 18th to 20th June.
In the framework of a PHC Tassili project coordonated by the ThéMA laboratory (UMR 6049 CNRS - Université de Franche Comté) and the CRASC (Centre de Recherche en Anthropologie Sociale et Culturelle - Research Center in Social and cultural anthropology) of Oran, an international symposium on dynamics of territories composing the Sahara and its margins is organized.
This pluridisciplinary symposium aims at creating an exchange and debate space on issues concerning functioning and evolution of these territories in their spatial and social dimensions.
